Back Sacadas For Men and Women
Description
The Back Sacadas for Men and Women class taught by Pablo and Noelia covers the Back Sacada. This tango step is a dynamic and advanced step within the dance of tango.
The Sacada is when you take the place of your partner at the same moment that he or she leaves that space—it looks as if one leg is pushing the other leg away from its spot. It is one of the most popular figures in the dance of tango.
Technique Segment
Pablo and Noelia start you off with a set of exercises to work with your disassociation and your lead as these skills are needed for the Back Sacadas.
During the first exercise, they discuss the need for good posture and run you through several repetitions of steps that include: pivots, back steps, and side steps. After that, in the next exercise, Pablo and Noelia demonstrate the proper technique and posture for the back sacada.
Steps Segment
In the steps segment of the class, Pablo and Noelia demonstrate three steps to show you how the Back Sacada works in any position. They use lots of repetition and examples for the leaders and followers to reinforce the steps.
This is an advanced level class. You can learn more about Pablo and Noelia on their Facebook page.
